Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has playfully slammed his Super Eagles teammate Calvin Bassey’s taste in music, calling it the worst in the Fulham dressing room, according to Soccernet. In a lighthearted chat with Mixtape Madness, Iwobi jokingly threw Bassey under the bus, saying his music preferences are sometimes unbearable.

Iwobi, who has a close friendship with Bassey, praised former Fulham teammate Tosin Adarabioyo as the unofficial DJ in the dressing room, saying he had the best music taste. Adarabioyo has since moved to Chelsea, leaving a void in the Fulham dressing room’s music scene.

When asked about the best and worst music taste at Fulham, Iwobi couldn’t resist taking a playful dig at Bassey. “Calvin Bassey man… I like his music sometimes, but other times he’s playing some heavy drills – I’m thinking, bro, are you ready for football or ready to clamp a man down?” Iwobi said with a laugh.

Despite the playful jabs, Iwobi and Bassey have a strong friendship that blossomed after they joined Fulham last season. They have been instrumental in Fulham’s success and played crucial roles in Nigeria’s run to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Iwobi also revealed that AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze plays music for the Super Eagles team, taking on the role of DJ in the Nigeria dressing room.

Outside of football, Iwobi is exploring his creative side through music, having released his debut single “Don’t Shoot” in June. The former Arsenal man is slowly making a name for himself in the music industry, showcasing his talents beyond the football pitch.
