A section of prominent leaders allied to the Azimio la Umoja coalition have demanded the resignation of President William Ruto while showing solidarity with the young Kenyan protestors.

Addressing journalists in Meru County, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka praised the youth, now known as Gen Z, for their ongoing protests against the incumbent government and urged them to persevere.

He emphasised the importance of Generation Z activism and the necessity for perseverance in seeking accountability and change from the government.

Musyoka also thanked the Senate for supporting the austerity measures requested by Generation Z. He emphasised that the administration is rife with corruption, with individuals constantly exploiting public resources for personal benefit.

This opinion was echoed by DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, who called for President Ruto's departure, claiming that the government's changes were only superficial attempts to quell public unrest.

The leaders' unified approach reflects a burgeoning movement in Kenya that advocates for transparency, accountability, and true government reform.

Their support for the Generation Z protestors demonstrates the need of intergenerational collaboration in determining the country's future and developing a more inclusive and responsive governance structure.
