Aminu Babba Danagundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano Emirate, has given his take on the Kano Emirate tussle existing in Kano State.
Recall that the governor of Kano state, Abba Yusuf, dethroned Aminu Ado Bayero as the Emir of Kano and reinstated Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of the state.
However, during an interview with Arise News, Aminu Danagundi stated that since the deposed Emir, Bayero, had maintained peace and acted in accordance with the court order on the issue, he still retains his position as the Emir of Kano in the eyes of the law, and not even the governor can change it.
According to the video, "As of today, in the eyes of the law, it is Aminu Ado Bayero who is the Emir of Kano; not even the governor can change it.".
