In a recent Facebook video, Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, the senior pastor of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM), addressed the public concerning the fire incident at Christ Embassy church on Sunday.
Prophet Fufeyin expressed his discontent with the negative reactions from some Christians towards Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of Christ Embassy.
"Majority of people who were condemning the man of God were Christians. You won't see Muslims there," Fufeyin said, highlighting the irony of intra-faith criticism. He criticized the body of Christ for its silence and lack of support during this challenging time for Pastor Chris.
"I am angry with the body of Christ. On the internet, it is those who don't know about God that are speaking there. No pastor, prophet, or apostle has come out to debunk the negative things that people are saying about Pastor Chris Oyhakilome," Fufeyin lamented. He urged fellow men of God to defend Pastor Chris against the negative narratives circulating on social media.
Fufeyin stressed that the fire incident at Christ Embassy is not only a setback for Pastor Chris but for the entire Christian community. He called on religious leaders to publicly refute the damaging statements and show solidarity with Pastor Chris.
"This fire incident is not just a blow to Pastor Chris but to the body of Christ," he emphasized, urging unity and support among Christian leaders. Fufeyin’s message has sparked discussions within the Christian community, with many reflecting on the need for greater cohesion and mutual support during crises.
