"In the past two months, our operations in Kaduna have led to the arrest of 1,137 suspects," stated Commissioner Audu Dabigi. "Among them are armed robbers, kidnappers, and phone snatchers." He further disclosed, "We recovered five AK47 rifles, seven locally made guns, and a large quantity of ammunition, along with vehicles used in criminal activities."

Dabigi highlighted a significant arrest involving a railway vandal caught with 100 pieces of stolen railway tracks, emphasizing the impact on infrastructure security. "We also apprehended armed robbers on major highways," he added, noting the gravity of their crimes.

He expressed concern over a rising trend in hotel robberies, where criminals targeted guests and staff, sometimes resulting in severe injuries. Another notable arrest involved a senior citizen found with firearms in Zaria, suspected of involvement in banditry.

Dabigi thanked the Inspector General of Police, Governor Uba Sani, and the community for their support. "We are committed to ensuring public safety," he affirmed, stressing the importance of community cooperation in combating crime effectively.

In summary, Commissioner Dabigi's remarks underscored proactive measures in Kaduna to combat crime, with significant arrests and recoveries of illegal weapons and stolen goods contributing to heightened security efforts in the state.
