What did they do in terms of refineries? Atiku told us he was going to sell our refineries-Oladele

Bosun Oladele, who once served as a lawmaker for Oyo State's Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope federal district and is currently the national secretary of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA'23), has made a remarkable announcement.

He criticized Atiku, suggesting that his efforts are merely aimed at convincing Nigerians that he is an opposition figure.

In an interview with The Cable, Oladele rejected the notion that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the opposition presidential candidates, would offer Nigerians a superior government.

He criticized Atiku's track record, highlighting similarities with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and underscoring their failure to address important issues during their time in government.

He asserted, "Atiku is becoming more like former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He keeps writing press releases on every issue, both the ones he understands and the ones he doesn’t."

"He just wants to impress Nigerians that he is doing the work of the opposition. Meanwhile, these were issues that were not addressed when he was in government as vice president to Obasanjo."

"What did they do in terms of refineries? It was the same Atiku that told us that he was going to sell our refineries to his friends if he becomes president."

"He is the same one criticizing Tinubu for giving the 700-km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway to a supposed ally at a highly competitive price."

Bosun Oladele also claimed that during Atiku and Obasanjo's tenure, the National Shipping Line and Nigeria Airways were abolished, and numerous state-owned assets were privatized without offering alternatives.

He claimed their government didn't tackle road conditions or roll out social security programs effectively. He also noted that despite investing $16 billion in power generation, the outcome fell short of expectations.

The legislator questioned whether Atiku and Obi would have been more effective, implying that Nigeria's economy might decline under their leadership, unlike the current initiatives by Tinubu.
