A respected politician and leader in the PDP, Umar Sani, has expressed his worry over some leaders of his party who have vowed to continue anti-party activities in the future. During his interview on AIT, Sani revealed the plans of such PDP leaders who plan to support President Tinubu in 2027.
Addressing the topic, Sani said, "My major concern is that some leaders already assume that they will continue in those anti-party activities, and in 2027, they will continue supporting President Tinubu's renewed hope agenda to become president. That is anticipated by the by the anti-party. When someone has told you that they will support Tinubu in 2027, he has already planned an anti-party for the future. That is a major concern, as it means whichever presidential candidate emerges will not get the support of these said leaders."
He continued, "How can this issue be resolved by the party leadership? You are either a member of the party who abides by its rules and regulations, or you cease to be a member because you cannot call yourself our party member while telling us that you will support APC in 2027. That is a very serious problem that the party must quickly address. Otherwise, these meetings will lead to nothing."
