Social media has been utilised by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, a former candidate for governor of Lagos State from the Labour Party, to criticise the APC.

Despite the fact that the ruling political party knows that Peter Obi, a past presidential candidate for the Labour Party, improved education in Anambra State, propelling it to the top of the country, he said that the party will continue to try to discredit his work. Making the statement through his official X account, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour responded to the US State Department's report on the 2023 Lagos State Governorship election.

He said that the report validates their struggle and brings global attention to an illiberal democratic process that is biassed towards a small group of "incompetent political elite." Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour continued by saying that they were the targets of attacks during the Lagos State Governorship election, but that the state had made it seem like they were anarchists.

He also said that the APC had spent a lot of money on propaganda to make it seem like his people rejected him, even though the US State Department found that nearly 65% of the 300,000 people who voted for him were Yorubas. The businessman continued by claiming that; Ever pondered why, even after all this time passing since the election, APC bots are still fiercely clinging to a misleading and divisive narrative on this platform? They know the reality, just as they know that talking about the number of schools built will distract from the fact that PO's education reform brought Anambra to the top of the education rankings.

In the end, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour said that propaganda and falsehoods may spread far and wide, but the truth will ultimately triumph. The following is the post by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour:
