Manchester United's narrow escape in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City left football icon Roy Keane fuming as he criticized the team's performance and lack of leadership, according to Manchester World.

The match, which saw United squander a 3-0 lead, resulting in a tense penalty shootout where United emerged victorious but not without significant scrutiny.

Keane did not mince words as he dissected United's performance. "Coventry looked like a Premier League team and Manchester United looked like a Championship side," he said during an interview with ITV Sport.

His assessment pointed to a glaring disparity in the quality of play exhibited by both teams.

The turning point came when Victor Torp's potential game-winning goal for Coventry was disallowed due to an offside call, allowing United to cling to a lifeline.

Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana emerged as heroes during the penalty shootout, securing United's spot in the final with a 4-2 victory.

However, the manner in which they nearly let the game slip away raised questions, Keane's criticism extended to the team's overall performance throughout the season.

"They give up chances, they give up goals, we've seen it all season," he said.
