The daring daylight robbery sent customers and residents running for cover as the hoodlums unleashed a hail of bullets, shooting a security guard and two others.
The gunmen, who arrived at the bank premises in a Toyota Venza, had trailed an unsuspecting customer to the location, striking before the victim could even enter the banking hall. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the gunmen making off with three bags of money amidst the pandemonium.
The attack has raised concerns about the security of financial institutions in the area, with the police yet to comment on the incident. The private security guard and two others who sustained gunshot injuries are receiving treatment, while the community grapples with the aftermath of the violent robbery.
