President William Ruto has made a major announcement on matters Kenya Defence Forces. The president has made it known that KDF Officers will soon be deployed in Nairobi to help in matters construction of affordable housing especially in Eastleigh and other areas where they have bases.

The president announced that he has held a meeting with the officers to see of how they can be utilized in the development of the country. It's a fact that President Ruto heavily castigated Uhuru Kenyatta during the handshake period for using the military in civilian duties but he seemingly wants to repeat the same script.
President Ruto is clear that the military is part of our citizens hence they will be used in the development of our county. According to Ruto, the military cannot only be used in war because they also have expertise and experience in other fields.
