Boniface Mwangi Announces Thursday's Programme, Protesters to Organise Mass Funeral

Famous Activist Boniface Mwangi has announced plans to have mass funeral in Nairobi on Thursday. This is even as protests have already kicked off in various parts of the country.

Mwangi announced that they are planning to conduct mass funeral in remembrance of the innocent lives lost as a result of police brutality during last week's protests.

Mwangi stated that 39 people were murdered by the police despite the President putting the number at 19. He claimed that the government sponsored goons to infiltrate the peaceful protest so that to justify the use of live firearms.

Last week Tuesday, after the passage of the Finance Bill 2024, protesters overpowered the police and accessed parliament buildings.

This forced the President to issue a statement on Tuesday night where he threatened that those who did that were criminals and the law will catch up with them.

However, in a more reconciliatory tone on Wednesday afternoon, Ruto withdrew the contentious Finance Bill in totality.
