As the family and the society at large joined hands to pay the last respects to their loved one The late Francis Sawe on 02.07.2024 at Kapseret who was shot and killed in Eldoret town during the Gen-z protests on 25th of June. Kapseret youths asks the Government to stop exploiting them claiming the economy is bad yet they are seen carrying money in sacks everyday. It's alleged that the Late was spectating in Eldoret CBD when he was shot twice and died on the spot.

Despite the advises given by the area chief and other elders for youths to stop rioting, One of the youths( Kemboi) who spoke says that he is ready for "Maandamano" if that is what it will take for the Government to listen to them. One of the youths who spoke says that he is ready to follow is counterpart if that is what it will take for the Government to listen to them.
