Tinubu Removes Bello-Koko, Appoints Abubakar Dantsoho As MD Of NPA

President Bola Tinubu has sacked Mohammed Bello-Koko as the managing director (MD) of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and appointed Abubakar Dantsoho as his replacement.
Bello-Koko was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2021 as acting MD and his appointment was confirmed in February 2022.
The tenure of NPA MD is five years.

Temitope Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has hit back at the Chief Whip of the Senate, Ali Ndume, who claimed that the President is unaware of the hardship being faced by Nigerians.
Ndume, a member of the All Progressives Congress, representing Borno South, had lamented that the President is “not in the picture of what is happening outside the Villa.”
He said this on Wednesday at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, saying, “Mr. President is not in the picture of what is happening outside the Villa. He has been fenced off and caged. Many of us won’t go through the backdoor to engage him.
Army Chief Pledges To Address Security Threats In South-East

The Nigerian Army has reiterated its commitment to tackling security threats in the South-East in line with constitutional provisions and the military code of conduct.
The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja said this on Thursday at the closing ceremony of the Second Commanding Officers’ Workshop 2024 during which he also commissioned projects at the Nigerian Army 6 Division Headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Lt. Gen. Lagbaja who was reacting to the recent security concerns in the South East where soldiers were killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen, reassured that the army is dedicated to handling these threats professionally.
Tinubu Congratulates New Olubadan

President Bola Tinubu on Friday congratulated Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Tinubu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu congratulates new Olubadan on coronation.’
The statement read partly, “President Tinubu joins the family of the new Olubadan, Ibadan citizens, the Oyo State Council of Obas, and the Oyo State Government to celebrate Oba Olakulehin on his ascension to the revered throne of his forebears.
