Salihu Lukman, a former APC national vice chairman for the North-West region, has spoken out against the political climate in Nigeria today. Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso are not cooperating, he said; they are all acting individually.

A number of important APC figures have been marginalised by President Tinubu's administration, according to a revelation that Lukman recently shared with The Sun. These leaders include Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, Ibikunle Amosun, Rotimi Amaechi, Kayode Fayemi, Nasir El-Rufai, and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He called them "political orphans" after their leaders lost their support. To secure Nigerian democracy's future, he added, "strong opposition is necessary."

In Lukman's words: "APC leaders, such as former vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, Kayode Fayemi, Ibikunle Amosun, Nasir El-Rufai, Rauf Aregbesola, who are more like political orphans on account of being excluded from the President Tinubu government, have been pushed to the peripheral edges of Nigerian politics"
