PDP Crisis Beyond Atiku, Wike – Senate Caucus

The Senate caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday said the crisis rocking the party is beyond the rift between the PDP presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

The caucus described the crisis, for which a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting last Thursday, as existential.

The minority leader of the Senate, who is also the leader of the PDP Senate caucus, Abba Moro, said the survival of the acting national chairman of PDP Amb Umar Lliya Damagum at NEC meeting was a win for the party, adding that it was erroneous to ascribe the meetings outcome as a defeat for Atiku or victory for Wike.

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has clinched the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Aiyedatiwa’s emergence from the primaries was announced by Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State, who served as the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee.

With Aiyedatiwa scoring the highest votes of 48,569, the result was declared almost 48 hours after the commencement of the exercise on April 20.

NASS orders CEO of Alliance Hospital, others to face organ harvesting charges

Abuja —In the ongoing case involving the Alliance Hospital and Services Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Dr. Christopher Otabor, and three others over an alleged organ harvest,

the House of Representative Committee on Public Petitions, has ordered the defendants to go back to court and defend themselves.

This was contained in a statement by National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Communication Officer, yesterday.

APC To Anti-Ganduje’s ‘Ward Exco’: You’re All Impostors

The Ganduje Ward Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State has said those behind yesterday’s “suspension” of the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, are impostors.

Malam Haladu Gwanjo, who claimed to be the Legal Adviser of an APC faction in Ganduje Ward, last week announced the suspension of Ganduje.

Gwanjo, who cited alleged corruption and other vices as reasons for the suspension, said the decision was taken by nine executive members of party in Ganduje Ward.
