Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has expressed serious concerns about the treatment of Igbo people in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria. He highlighted issues such as market closures, demolitions, and threats against the Igbo community, which have caused significant unrest among its members. Speaking with The Sun, Chief Iwanyanwu pointed to the troubling demolition of a large estate in Abuja owned by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma) as a clear example of this mistreatment. He indicated that the demolition was carried out without proper legal procedures, raising questions about its motives and legality.

The President General has called for a prompt investigation into the demolition, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability. He stressed the importance of collecting all relevant information about the incident to ensure justice and prevent further unfair treatment of Igbo properties and individuals.
