The recent judgement by the Federal High Court voiding the nomination of Asue Ighodalo as the party's candidate in the Edo governorship election was seen by Governor Umaru Fintiri, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Campaign Council, as a temporary setback, according to The Sun. At a campaign council meeting held at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, Fintiri voiced his optimism that the judgement will be overturned, calling it "a child's play."

The governor of Adamawa state assured party members that they will triumph over this current challenge and asked PDP supporters to stay strong in preparation for the governorship election in Edo state. The Federal High Court's ruling against the PDP's nomination of Ighodalo has caused party supporters to be concerned, but Fintiri remains confident. The party's morale and determination to run for governor of Edo state are both bolstered by the Chairman's words of encouragement.

"Yes, there is a little setback," he says himself. Until further notice. We will be guided through it by God. The court's decision from three days ago is what I'm referring to. Looking at the whole procedure will make everyone see that it is easy as pie. Okay, now it's your turn, respected audience; I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. Please note it in the space provided for comments.
