Rivers Crisis: Court Didn’t Entertain Major Subject Matter Of Amaewhule, His Group - Chukwuemeka Eze

Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent member of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, drew attention to the fact that the Court of Appeal did not specifically address the fundamental problem of Amaewhule's group's defection from the PDP to the APC, leading to their expulsion from Congress.

Given that the lawmakers were aware of the potential legal repercussions of their activities, he questioned the reasoning behind their jubilation.

He asked Rivers State's law-abiding populace to maintain their composure and resist the former lawmakers' purported attempts to sow discord and even declare a state of emergency.

The Sun reported that he stated, "The Court of Appeal didn’t entertain the major subject matter of Amaewhule and his group defecting from PDP to APC, which caused them to cease as lawmakers."

"So, what are they celebrating when they are aware that by defecting from the PDP to the APC they have ceased to be lawmakers?"

"I will only counsel the law-abiding citizens of Rivers State to be calm and not give in to the plot of these ex-lawmakers to ignite anarchy in the state to achieve their sinister aim of declaration of State of emergency in the state."
