Netherlands made an awful start to their EURO 2024 quarter-final match against Turkey this evening as they are losing 1-0 at halftime. However, here are the three poor Netherlands players of the first half:
1. Denzel Dumfries
The right-back had a terrible performance in the first half as the goal Turkey scored came from his angle. He was also dribbled several times and needs to come good in the second half.
2. Cody Gakpo
The Liverpool winger was isolated on the left wing and didn't help much in the defence. He contributed less to the attack and lost the ball several times. He needs to come back stronger in the second half.
3. Xavi Simons
He occupied the number ten role behind Memphis Depay and he had an awful performance in the first half as he did not utilize the ball properly. His decision-making was poor and he needs to step up his game in the second half.
