On 2nd July, 2024 the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and also the current Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio paid a condolence visit to the former Governor of Kwara State and also the former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki to commiserate with him over the death of his mother, Late Florence Morenike Saraki at his residence in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
According to a post made by the former Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki Via his official Facebook account, the Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio along with the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, Senate Majority Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and other prominent people paid a condolence visit to Senator Bukola Saraki to commiserate with him over the death of his mother at his residence in Ilorin, Kwara State.
During his speech, the Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki prayed that may the soul of the Late Florence Morenike Saraki continue to rest in peace. He also prayed that may Almighty God give the family the fortitude to bear their loss.
