Michael Olise's Demands That Blocked His Move To Chelsea

Chelsea are making moves to bring in a quality winger as the team struggled to create chances in the previous campaign. Crystal Palace's Micheal Olise was reportedly identified as the ideal target, but the following demands from the player blocked the move, according to Football Transfers.

First, Olise's wage demands appeared to be a huge issue for The Blues. The winger demands approximately £220,000 a week, and Chelsea's hierarchy was not willing to unsettle their wage structure for the player, even though they have the financial might to do so.

Secondly, Olise's aim to be Chelsea's major star at Stamford Bridge did not sit well with the club's concept of team unity and many attacking alternatives.

As it stands, The Blues are negotiating to sign Barcelona forward Marc Guiu, who has a release clause of £5.07million, per talkSport. Michael Olise, on the other side, has also agreed to join Bayern Munich following the failed move to Chelsea.
