Number Of Missing, Killed Youths Continue To Increase After Protests

As families of loved ones who have vanished discover their bodies in mortuaries, the number of Kenyan youngsters slain by police during the anti-finance bill rallies has increased.

One family in Mombasa County found their relative's body in the Coast General Hospital Mortuary. It is said that Joash Ombati was shot by police during Mombasa protests last week.

During this week's anti-government demonstration in Eldoret town, Gredo Oyaro, 17, was shot in the head by police. A crowd is shown in this unsettling and horrifying footage, which was taken shortly after Oyaro, 17, was hit by a live bullet from the police, hurrying to save his life.

Regretfully, Oyaro passed away due to his wounds although medical professionals from the teaching and referral hospital were attempting to rescue him.

Oyaro's grieving family is seeking justice for his killing as his body sits in the mortuary. In order to assist gather money to pay for funeral and hospital expenses, they are also pleading with well-wishers.

Another family in Mombasa is wailing for justice after they believe that police shot and killed their son during the anti-finance bill demonstrations on Tuesday.

Joash Ombati, 36, is reported to have passed away from serious bullet wounds. Days after he vanished, his body was found by his family on Saturday at the mortuary at Coast General Hospital.
