According to Dele Momodu, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ola Olukoyede, the current head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), ought to be aware of the severe dismissals that each of the past EFCC chairmen endured.
Punch said on Sunday that the media magnate claimed the EFCC had erred in trying to prosecute Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, and that the anti-graft organisation had neglected to conduct due diligence because it was eager to bring charges against Bello.
Recall that the EFCC attempted to arrest Yahaya Bello a few weeks ago after storming her home in Abuja on suspicion of embezzling money while she was in government, but the raid was unsuccessful.
