Arsenal are already in motion to improve their squad ahead of the new campaign and has reportedly made a move to sign 22-year-old striker Joshua Zirkzee.

The Gunners under Mikel Arteta is not the kind of club that takes a lot of time to make move for the players they need. We have seen that even recently when they signed Kai Harvertz from Chelsea, Jurian Timber from Ajax and David Raya from Brentford.

Mikel Arteta intends for his new acquisitions to preseason with his already existing players so as to give them the avenue and opportunity to blend in and understand each other better before the season begins.

It is believed that it is that same idea that the Gunners are looking to apply in their bid to sign Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee.

As reported revealed Italian outlet Tuttosport, Arsenal wants the 22-year-old and has placed him as one of their top transfer targets for this summer.

Mikel Arteta's side are said to be willing to send an offer to Bologna in few weeks to come and has reportedly offered Zirkzee a weekly wage in the region of £115,000 having had a phone discussion with the players agent.

If the reports are true, Arsenal are really making a smart move as it will help them hold an edge over the likes of Inter Milan, Manchester United and Aston Villa who also have been made aware of the player's availability this summer and are planning a move of their own.

Joshua Zirkzee all round play has been great this season. Though the youngster still has a lot to learn and improve on, he has the makings of a top striker. He is strong in confidence and possession, quick with the ball at his feat and has good dripping skills.

Also, his 11 goals in 31 Serie A appearances for Bologna this season shows that he is not shy in finding the back of the net. Generally, he looks like a player who would certainly score a lot of goals for Arsenal, but we will never know that unless he actually signs for The Gunners.
