According to a statement by the Deputy Governor's Spokesperson, John Paul Akinduro, the residents of Owo enthusiastically cheered the deputy governor, chanting 'Odatiwa' and 'Odirorun'—the campaign slogans of the governor. Motorcyclists showcased acrobatic displays, while elegantly dressed 'Lucky Women' danced joyously along the route. The roadshow commenced at the deputy governor's residence in Iselu, passing through Okedogbon to Iloro-Owaluwa-Uka, and culminating at the APC local government secretariat, where Dr. Adelami addressed party faithful.

Dr. Adelami expressed heartfelt gratitude to the party members, traditional institutions, support groups, and the people of Owo for their unwavering support in the primary election. “This procession is to express gratitude to the people of Owo for their overwhelming support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the governorship primary election. There is no better way to do this than to tour Owo and thank them immensely for all they have done," he remarked.

"What happened on Saturday was a display of unity and solidarity, as the people of Owo came out in large numbers and spoke with one voice, delivering their votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa one hundred percent. I urge you all to obtain your voter's cards and vote massively for the governor in November," he urged.

Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the state, Adekola Olawoye, commended the deputy governor for his financial, political, and moral support to the APC family in Owo, even before assuming office. Similarly, former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in the state, Dr. Yemi Mahmud, praised the deputy governor for transforming Owo politics.

"Since Dr. Adelami became the deputy governor, Owo politics has witnessed a positive transformation. He has united us and worked tirelessly for Governor Aiyedatiwa's victory. We are immensely grateful to the party and the people of Owo for their overwhelming support in the primary election," Mahmud stated. The event drew prominent APC leaders from Owo local government, ward executives, members, and key political figures in the town.
