In a recent video interview with Channels TV, former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike made a statement in which he declared that no one has the ability to suspend him from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) due to allegations of anti-party actions during the general election in 2023. Wike made this comment in response to allegations that these activities occurred during the election.

"I have not seen that person with all due respect. Nobody can do it. The issue of it will not arise. Which plan? Who will discipline me? I should be the one calling for the discipline of these people who violated the party constitution, in the way the party says there must be rotation. Who dares that person to say they'll suspend me? Who? I want to dare anybody who will say that," Wike stated.

Governor Wike's words are the result of an internal crisis inside the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which has led to requests for disciplinary action to be taken against him by members of the party.

On the other hand, Wike continues to be adamant about his position, and he challenges anyone who has the audacity to question his standing inside the party.

Some people in political circles have called for immediate action to be taken against Wike, while others have rallied in support of the governor in a show of solidarity. The controversy that has surrounded Wike's alleged anti-party activities has brought up debate within political circles.

Wike's outspoken stance highlights the deep-seated divisions that exist within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as the party contends with internal conflicts and power struggles in the aftermath of the general election that took place in 2023.
