According to the report from the Vanguard, The Kinsmen of the Minister of the FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike, hailing from the Ikwerre ethnic nationality in Rivers State, have expressed their unwavering endorsement for the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

In a recent courtesy visit to the Governor, the President General of Ogbakor Ikwerre Worldwide, Eze Barrister Godspower Onuekwa, emphasized the commitment of the Ikwerre people to Governor Fubara's administration. He highlighted that having had their own share of governance in the state, they are determined not to allow any outsider to disrupt the peace and progress fostered by the Governor.

Acknowledging the Governor's development initiatives spread across the various Local Government Areas, including those in Ikwerre, Eze Onuekwa reassured the Governor of the unreserved backing of the Ikwerre ethnic nationality.

Similarly, the Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, lauded Governor Fubara's leadership capabilities, urging him to maintain his focus, lead fearlessly, and count on the unwavering support of the Ikwerre community.

Senator John Azuta Mbata echoed the sentiment of inclusive politics, highlighting the 16-year governance tenure of the Ikwerre people with support from other ethnic groups. He stressed the importance of extending support to others for the peaceful governance of the State, ensuring Governor Fubara's success amidst challenges.

Governor Fubara, in response, expressed gratitude to those who have contributed to his accomplishments. He emphasized his commitment to a principled approach in navigating the ongoing political unrest in the State, guided by a sense of responsibility and gratitude towards his supporters.
