Emeka Woke, a staunch supporter of former Governor Nyesom Wike, addressed a press conference to vehemently refute claims made by Governor Siminalayi Fubara regarding the recent explosion in Rivers State. Woke's remarks were laced with skepticism and a sense of urgency, as he challenged the Governor's narrative.
"If the Governor says the main aim of the march was to bomb the Presidential hotel where he housed the Senate Committee on Privatization and Commercialization, how did anybody know that he housed his guests at the Presidential hotel?" Woke asked, his tone dripping with incredulity.
Woke also expressed bewilderment at the swift arrest of a suspect and the swift condemnation of the area, all within an hour. "The Commissioner of Health addressed a press conference to announce the explosion and instructed health establishments to be vigilant. Yet, in less than an hour, they arrested someone and cordoned off the area".Woke stated.
Woke's statements were a clear call to action, demanding a probe that would uncover the facts and dispel the cloud of uncertainty surrounding the explosion. By questioning the Governor's claims and highlighting the inconsistencies in the official narrative, Woke and other Wike loyalists sought to ensure that the truth was not sacrificed at the altar of political expediency.
