Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara Speaks Out on Political Dispute with Predecessor Nyesom Wike

In a recent video posted on YouTube by Channels TV, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara addressed the ongoing political dispute between him and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike. Fubara expressed his gratitude to Wike for his role in his election victory but clarified that he cannot worship any human being.

Fubara emphasized his independence, stating that he is accountable only to God and not to anyone on earth. He reiterated his commitment to promoting peace and harmony in Rivers State, highlighting his active participation in reconciliation efforts.

"I cannot worship a human being," Fubara said. "If that is my sin, let me answer it in the last day in heaven, but not on earth. I am not answerable to anyone on earth. But I know that I have always taken the part of peace, I have shown respect, and I have subjected myself to every meeting of reconciliation for peace."

Fubara's statement comes amid ongoing tensions between him and Wike, who have been at odds over various issues. Despite their differences, Fubara has consistently sought to promote dialogue and reconciliation, demonstrating his dedication to the well-being of Rivers State and its people.
