Ismaila Lasisi, who spent 24 years in prison awaiting execution alongside his friend Lukman Adeyemi after being accused of involvement in the murder of a woman for ritual purposes, has shared the horrifying details of their ordeal.

According to Ismaila, he was subjected to unimaginable torture at the Eleweran Police Station in Abeokuta, where he was hung in a torture room for hours, enduring excruciating pain.

Ismaila recounted that after learning the police had visited his home in search of him, he and Lukman Adeyemi voluntarily went to the police station the following morning, unaware of the reason behind the search. However, upon confirming his identity as the sought-after Ismaila Lasisi, the police launched a violent attack on both him and his friend Lukman.

As reported by The Nation News, Ismaila Lasisi revealed, "The next morning, we both went to the police station, and surprisingly, we were detained. I had no clue about the unfolding events or why they were looking for me. When the SARS officers, led by Bashiru and Agboola, arrived and identified me as the Ismaila Lasisi they were looking for, they descended on us like hungry tigers and subjected us to severe beatings."

The ordeal only intensified when they were transferred to the Eleweran Police Station in Abeokuta. There, Ismaila was confronted by Ganiyu and Semiyu, who accused him of being involved in the murder of a woman they had committed for ritual purposes. Shocked and rendered speechless, Ismaila and Lukman were once again subjected to brutal treatment by the SARS police.

"I was hung in a torture room for hours, and I had to endure unimaginable pains," Ismaila recounted, describing the harrowing experience he endured at the hands of the police.
