The former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar has reacted after the Labour Party candidate, Keir Starmer won the general elections in UK.
In the post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, he said the victory of the Labour Party is another testament to the virility of democracy as a functional system for a common cause.
He however, ended his statement by congratulating the people of the United Kingdom for making a choice of leadership that is deemed to be in the interest of the majority of the people.
Here is what Atiku Abubakar wrote on his official page;
"The victory of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom election is another testament to the virility of democracy as a functional system for a common cause. I congratulate the Prime Minister of the UK, Sir Keir Starmer. More importantly, I congratulate the people of the United Kingdom for making a choice of leadership that is deemed to be in the interest of the majority of the people".
