Senate President Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio has commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his dedication to improving the welfare of the masses.

According to Channels Television, Akpabio, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, made these remarks on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who previously served as the Governor of Lagos state and is a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, marked his first year in office on May 29, 2024. His administration has been met with both praise and criticism from various Nigerians across the country.
Akpabio, who recently served as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, expressed confidence in Tinubu's long-term impact, stating that by the end of Tinubu's tenure in seven years, both the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Nigeria will experience significant transformation.
He encouraged continued prayers and optimism, suggesting that current challenges will eventually be overcome.
Akpabio also highlighted Tinubu's successful governance in Lagos, noting that the city has become one of the largest economies in Africa among urban centers.

As per Channels Television, he remarked, "I have no doubt that by the time the president is through with his tenure in the country, seven years from today, many people will not recognise FCT, they will not recognise Nigeria again''
