Super Eagles Coaching Job: Two Foreigners to Rival Herve Renard

According to Daily Sun quoting SCORENigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee has recommended Herve Renard and two other foreign coaches for consideration for appointment to fill the vacant position of the head coach of the nation’s men’s football team, the Super Eagles.

The French tactician is definitely not a stranger to African football, having previously won the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) with Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire.

It is now up to the NFF executive committee to pick among the three who will be the Super Eagles next coach. 

The next coach’s next immediate task will be the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, scheduled to begin in September 2024, after which the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will resume in March 2025.

According to the report, the NFF has already contacted Renard. 

It is reported that Renard has demanded a monthly salary of $180,000, among other pecks.

The technical committee that shortlisted the three coaches comprised Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Felix Owolabi, Yinka Olagbemiro, Victor Ikpeba, Aminu Kurfi, and Augustine Eguavoen, who is also the NFF technical director. The committee was chaired by Sheriff Rabiu Inuwa ‘Ahlan’.
