Harry Kane has scored 12 goals in the German Bundesliga so far in 2024. However, a look at the goalscoring records of players in the top 10 European league shows that 2 of them have registered more strikes than the Englishman within the period as per Stathead. Who are these strikers?
Luuk de Jong
The man on top of the list is Luuk de Jong. This 33-year-old striker has scored 15 goals for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch top flight since the turn of 2024. He opened the year on a high note as he scored three times in the 3-1 win over Excelsior on January 13. He added two more goals 14 days afterwards. It should be noted that the former Europa League champion has netted 2 Eredivisie hat tricks this year. The second was in the 7-1 win over PEC Zwolle in February.
The second player that has netted more goals than Kane since the start of this year is Viktor Einar Gyökeres. This Swedish star, who is currently 25 years old, has netted 13 times in Liga Portugal so far in 2024. The former Brighton and Coventry forward scored his first goal of the year on January 18. His brace helped Sporting CP to secure a 5-2 win over Vizela in the game. Gyökeres' only hat trick in the Portuguese top flight was recorded against Boavista on March 17.

For Kane, the first strike of the year came on January 12. However, had to wait till February before getting his furst brace of 2024. On March 9, the England international netted a hat trick as Bayern Munich walloped Mainz 8-1 at Allianz Arena.
