Wike’s Loyalists Lucky Fubara is Tolerant – Commissioner

Two Rivers State commissioners, Prof. Zaccaeus Adangor (SAN) and Isaac Kamalu, resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara's cabinet following a reshuffle that moved them to other ministries. Adangor cited "willful interference" by the governor, while Kamalu questioned the claimed rise in monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). In response, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, described their reasons for resigning as an afterthought, suggesting they should have raised concerns earlier. Johnson emphasized the governor's tolerance and the prerogative of appointees to serve at the governor's discretion. He defended the governor's integrity, highlighting financial accomplishments and infrastructure projects without borrowing. Johnson criticized the commissioners for speaking out only after being reassigned, insinuating that their objections lacked credibility.
