The Gen Z revolution continues to take a new shape everyday. Despite protesting against the punitive finance bill 2024 which was later withdrawn by President William Ruto, the Gen Zs continue to push for more changes in the government. Kenyans feel that the president is not doing what he is supposed to do and they have vowed to take him home if not now but in 2027.
Earlier before when the Gen Zs wanted president William Ruto to resign from the presidency, they endorsed the former Education and Security Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i. Things changed afterwards after they realized that Matiang’i was not fit. Currently the Gen Zs want the Busia county Senator 'Okiya Omtata' to be the Gen Z presidential candidate in 2027.
According to one of the Gen Z supporter and city politician, Alinur Mohamed, through his X (Formally Twitter) account, he stated that Busia County Senator 'Okiya Omtata' is the Gen Z presidential candidate in 2027. He urged all Kenyans to share widely.
Reports indicate that the Gen Zs are ready to support Omtata as the president while the Law Society of Kenya president, Faith Odhiambo, to be his running mate. Can this two take the nation to the next level? Will president William Ruto survive in 2027 or he'll be the first one term president in Kenya? Who gonna be your preferred presidential candidate in 2027 apart from president William Ruto?
