In a recent report by Daily Post, Chief Edwin Clark, an esteemed elder statesman and leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), has delivered a resolute message directed at former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, urging him to subject himself to official scrutiny and investigation.

While expressing profound concern over what he perceives as a tenure marred by allegations of corruption and political unrest, Clark underscored the gravity of the situation during an appearance on Arise Television. He lamented the prevalence of governance challenges, citing instances of corruption and violence, particularly evident during electoral processes, throughout Bello's tenure.

In his words: "Yahaya Bello Is just a young man who followed the footsteps of his predecessors."

Clark emphasized the pressing need for Bello to address these allegations within the purview of legal proceedings. He urged Bello to avail himself before the courts, confronting the substantive issues raised regarding the origins of his financial resources and the utilization of funds for personal expenses, including purported payments to an American educational institution.

Furthermore, Clark expressed disappointment at what he perceives as a deficiency in accountability and leadership responsibility on Bello's part. He noted with concern the apparent deference of the incumbent governor, Ahmed Ododo, seemingly trailing behind Bello instead of asserting independent leadership.

In a heartfelt plea, Clark implored Governor Ododo to take decisive measures to uphold the principles of justice and integrity. He underscored the paramount importance of accountability, especially for the youth of the nation.
