In a stunning act of retaliation, a female doctor is said to have severed her boyfriend's genitalia after he failed to show up on their wedding day.
Local media state that the attack in Bihar, eastern India, on Monday is attributed to the 25-year-old doctor. After the vicious attack, her Madhaura-based lover was taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital for emergency care.
According to reports, the woman lost her temper when her fiancé, refused to wed her after five years of engagement.
The pair had decided to get married in court, according to Mail Online. Nevertheless, the woman's fiancé failed to appear at the altar on their wedding day.
She went home and called him over after waiting for him in vain in the court. She allegedly used a knife to cut off his genitals when he arrived, not knowing what she was going to do. His shouts were heard by neighbors, who reported the attack to the police.
The man was seriously hurt and was found laying on a bed in a pool of his own blood, when the police got on the scene.
The woman is a Hajipur-born doctor, twenty-five years old, and single. She was in Madhaura, rehearsing. An official from the Madhaura Police Station in the Saran district stated, "The victim is also single." He continued, "Further investigation is ongoing, and we have arrested the suspect."
