In a candid interview on News Central TV, Sam Yohana, the former Organizing Secretary of the All Progressive Congress in Kaduna State, suggested that Senator Ireti Kingibe's dissatisfaction arises from her exclusion from decision-making processes and being uninformed about ongoing projects initiated by others.
He noted Kingibe's political ambitions, emphasizing her desire to be re-elected in 2027 and the need to align herself with successful projects to bolster her campaign.
Yohana pointed out that Kingibe has yet to secure any notable achievements during her term, which makes her vulnerable as the next election approaches.
He advised Kingibe to develop a better working relationship with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to enhance her political standing and gain support for her future projects and re-election bid.
Yohana stated that Kingibe feels left out, seeing projects being initiated and commissioned without her involvement. He emphasized that as a politician aiming for re-election in 2027, Kingibe needs to attach her election bid to significant projects she has facilitated. Currently, she has no achievements to showcase. He recommended that she collaborate with the FCT Minister, Wike, to get involved in ongoing projects and strengthen her position. In his own words, he remarked, "She (Ireti Kingibe) is not being carried along completely. She doesn't even know what's happening, she only see project being initiated, she only sees project being commissioned. She is a politician, she wants to come back in 2027, she wants to be re-elected. She wants to attach election bid to a particular project that probably she has brought or she has facilitated the project from being brought. But in this case now, she (Ireti Kingibe) had nothing to show now. We have gone more than a year, she still has nothing to show. She needs to pally with the minister of the FCT (Wike), so that he can get her onboard and see how they can move."
