Arsenal are looking to raise transfer funds from player sales and have now made considerable amount of progress in moving their 24-year-old Belgium star.

The Gunners are close to agreeing a deal that would see Albert Sambi Lokonga leave the club this summer, according to a report released by Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

He stated in one of his podcasts that Spanish La Liga side Sevilla are advancing in talks with Arsenal over the signing of midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.

According to the reporter, the deal would be an initial loan move with an option to make it permanent after the first season. However, the permanent deal would be reliant on how the 24-year-old performs next season.

Lokonga spent last season on loan at Luton, where he performed at a consistent level despite the club getting relegated.

He currently has two years left on his Arsenal contract, but the club is unwilling to offer him a fresh deal as he is not in Mikel Arteta's plans for next season.

Arsenal would prefer a permanent sale this summer, but trying to broker a deal for a player who is yet to be very impressesive is difficult, especially in England.
