PDP BoT Member, Idahosa Dumps Party In Edo

Charles Idahosa, a member of the Board of Trustees, BOT, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced his resignation from the party.

DAILY POST reports that, Idahosa, a chieftain of the party in Edo State, resigned his membership from the party in a letter dated April 29, 2024, and addressed to the Chairman of Ehor Ward 1 of the party in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State.

Idahosa, also copied his resignation letter to the Chairman, BoT of the PDP, South South, National Vice Chairman, State Chairman and Uhunmwonde Local Government Chairman of the party, respectively.

Come Out Hiding, Ortom Advises Yahaya Bello

Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has asked his Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello, to come out of hiding and answer his case with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC).

Mr Ortom stated this on Sunday at the Redeemed Church in Makurdi during the thanksgiving service organised by his aides to mark his 63rd birthday anniversary.

He urged Mr Bello to come out and defend his administration, adding that his continuous hiding would disgrace former governors across the country.


At Least 4 Feared Dead, Many Others Injured As Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community

At least four people have been confirmed killed while many others were wounded assailants said to be herdsmen invaded Nimbo community in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.

SaharaReporters learnt that the attack occurred on Sunday night.

The deceased victims are Okeh Simon Ugwu, Oruku Okeh Chukwuebuka, Julius Ogbonna Odiegwu and Gabriel Ugwor Ezea.


Obaseki Increases Minimum Wage To N70K

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants. 

The governor made this known on Monday, while inaugurating the Labour House.

Obaseki named the Labour House after Adams Oshiomhole, Senator representing Edo North, and former governor of the state.


Fuel Pump Price Sells Between N730- N750 Litre

Some of the major and Independent Petroleum Marketers operating various petrol stations in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia state are dispensing products to their customers at ₦730-₦750 pump price per litre.

Our correspondent reports that Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) was initially sold between ₦710-₦730 at the weekend.

Some of the few petrol stations which opened on Monday, April 29, despite the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra (Biafra) had no queue.


Bwala Meets Tinubu In Saudi Arabia

Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, met with President Bola Tinubu in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday, April 29.

Bwala disclosed this in a post on his official X page.

He wrote: “I am delighted to meet Mr President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ongoing World Economic Forum, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where President Tinubu delivered at the forum a well-defined agenda for Nigeria and the rest of the world through collaboration.
