Barcelona make decision on pursuit of EPL star midfielder - REPORTS

Spanish Giants Barcelona are currently in the business of identifying possible players they could sign this summer ahead of next season. The club in latest reports have reached a decision to end the pursuit of one of their transfer targets in person of Bernardo Silva who plays for Manchester City.

A possible move to Barcelona is now unlikely for Bernardo Silva. The 29 year old Portuguese midfielder has been a key player and consistent performer for Manchester City over the years and a lot of speculations have linked him with a move to Barcelona in the past few months.

According to reports from media outlet Marca, Barcelona have decided to end their pursuit of Manchester City's Bernardo Silva. This is due to the fact that the midfielder has a £50 Million release clause expiring on June 30 that the Catalan club are unable to trigger because of their current financial situation. Bernardo Silva's contract at Manchester City expires in June 2026.

It remains to seen what the future holds for Bernardo Silva as he is set to stay on at Manchester City this summer.
