Manchester United Summer Plan Takes Shapes as Joao Palhinha's Fulham Exit Close for a Fee of £42.3m

Joao Palhinha's impending move to Bayern Munich marks the beginning of changes at Manchester United ahead of the 2024/25 season under Erik ten Hag. Reports from The Mirror indicate that Dan Ashworth, the new sporting director, is actively reshaping the squad at Old Trafford within the constraints of Premier League spending rules.

United, aiming to balance their financial books, have already seen departures like Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, and Brandon Williams, though these were free transfers. To raise approximately £200m, players such as Casemiro, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood are reportedly available for transfer.

Scott McTominay, surprisingly, hasn't been listed for sale despite past speculation. Fulham, looking to replace Palhinha, are leading the race to sign him, with West Ham also showing interest after last season's near transfer. Palhinha's move to Bayern for €50m (£42.3m) is nearing completion pending a medical, leaving Fulham eager for midfield reinforcements.

Uncertainty remains whether Fulham will pursue McTominay, given United's potential reluctance to sell after his significant contributions last season.
