Daniel Bwala, a former spokesman for the defunct Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has shared his thoughts on the visit by 2023's PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to former President Buhari.

In a recent interview with arise TV, Bwala stated that he agreed with Senator Sani's opinion that the visit, though billed as a Sallah or homage visit, had underlying political intentions.

However, with the 2027 election approaching, Bwala stated that he feels President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well-positioned to remain in office, citing the president's prioritization of governance over political maneuvering.

He said: "One thing about politics is that anytime that season comes, you see a lot of activities. Some activities can be given a political meaning to them, and sometimes the visit can be said to be a celebration visit. But I quite agree with what Senator Sani said, that although the visit is named as a Sallah visit or homage visit, it has some political undertone. You know, of the 2027 alignment, realignment, and all of that, which is not strange to us in Nigeria. But I think that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in a well-positioned place as far as the 2027 is concerned, and I think that he is focusing on what he needs to do at the moment, which is to take away this idea of political talk and focus on governance and what he has to do. When the time is right, we will be ready. But definitely, the movement is around political inclination."
