Former Nigerian Senator and human rights activist Shehu Sani has taken to his on X handle to react after Rishi Sunak resigns as Tory leader as well as PM after election defeat.
Rishi Sunak has announced his resignation as Prime Minister and Conservative leader, following a disastrous election night for the party. The Conservatives are projected to win just over 121 seats, marking their worst electoral performance in history. Sunak will remain in office until a successor is chosen.
Following the Conservative Party's historic election defeat, the outspoken activist took to his official X handle to air out his view and thought about it.
According to Shehu Sani, he suggested that Rishi Sunak should seek legal access to sensitive election materials.
Sani's statement implies a desire for transparency and investigation into the factors contributing to the party's loss.
