Arsenal get major transfer boost as their target hands in transfer request.

Arsenal have received a major boost in their bid to sign of of their summer transfer targets.

The Gunners are yet to make any addition to their squad this summer. They have been linked with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Ivan Toney, Kadioglu, Benjamin Sesko, Gyokeres, Zubimendi, Nico Williams and Calafiori, but are yet to record hundred percent success in any.

The latest target is Calafiori. The Gunners have submitted an offer for the Italy international but the deal has failed to materialise follwing their disagreement over some add-ons.

Following the stall in negotiation, the Italy star Riccardo Calafiori has reportedly put in a transfer request to Bologna, asking the club to let him leave - as revealed by Corriere di Bologna.

Recall that it was reportedly revealed that Calafiori had reached an agreement on personal terms with Arsenal, settling on a five-year contract that will see him earn €4 million annually.

The report also claime that of Arsenal fails to finalise the deal next week, Calafiori will have to rejoin Bologna for pre-season training. This places additional pressure on Arsenal who won't be happy to lose the player to any rival, having stepped away from other deals.
