In a recent statement via his official account, Dele Farotimi, a lawyer and member of Citizens' Rally against Oppression, has criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for its handling of corruption cases.

Farotimi specifically targeted the EFCC's approach to the case involving Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, known as "Gandollar."

Farotimi highlighted the perceived inconsistency in the EFCC's priorities, noting that while Gandollar's alleged corrupt activities have not been aggressively pursued, the commission is focusing on lesser crimes in Kogi State.

He expressed his frustration with the situation.

"The same @officialEFCC that has not shown any interest in pursuing Gandollar for operating a mobile bank and BDC, and on whose walls hangs portraits of the Capo di tuti di capi, wants me to be excited about its farcical pursuit of the petty criminal in Kogi. Dey play," Farotimi wrote.

Abdullahi Ganduje, who currently serves as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was involved in a video surfaced allegedly showing him collecting bribes in dollars.

Despite this, Farotimi believes that the EFCC has not adequately addressed the allegations against Ganduje.

The statement from Farotimi comes as a result of ongoing tensions between the EFCC and Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, regarding an 84 billion naira corruption case.
