Mixed reactions continue to trail the arrest and detention of Dele Farotimi, a renowned human rights activist and lawyer as in a recent statement, the former vice president and presidential aspirant of the People's Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar made it known that the legal practitioner was arrested due to his unwavering commitment to uncovering truths that certain powers would prefer to be kept hidden forever.
In his statements which were made available to the general public by news outlet, VANGUARD today being Tuesday the 10th day of December 2024, he also pointed out that his plight was a sad reflection of the pervasive nature of the justice system and the blatant violation of human rights that has become prevalent in the country.
