The Edo State Police Command arrested the suspected killer of Glory Adekolure, a University of Benin graduate. Adekolure, who went for her final clearance on June 13, 2024, was found dead near her home. The suspect was captured in Asaba, Delta State, 15 days later. He confessed to killing Adekolure and eight other women. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspect has not yet been paraded.

Nigeria's foreign exchange reserves reached $34.14 billion on June 28, 2024, up 4.06% from $32.74 billion on June 3. This increase is due to recent World Bank loans, including $500 million for electricity distribution and $2.25 billion for economic stabilization.
